CLERKS 2 TEASER TRAILER

Looks like this time around they won't be working at the Quick Stop or RST Video. This time it's Mooby's. I can't wait.

  • I, on the other hand, can. There's nothing in this teaser at all that makes me want to see this movie.

  • That's because you're not a Clerks fan.

  • I loved Clerks, but I can't imagine a sequel doing anything but sucking. This teaser does not assuage my fears.

  • You're right, I'm not a huge Clerks fan. I think that the movie is good, but over rated. Stephen thinks that I have other, more sinister reasons for "disliking" the movie (share with us, Stephen, we're curious to know!). But seriously, if you compare this to other teaser trailers, the only thing that's exciting about this one for the people that saw the original is that there's hotter women and that it's in colour. Hardly reason to rush out and buy tickets. After seeing Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and experienced overzealous Smith fans laughint at every joke, including the ones that simply weren't funny, I've decided to opt to wait 'till the DVD.

  • I believe that Rob hates Clerks because he knows that he is too much like Dante. During his little stay in FSJ for a while, he mainly bitched about his life. It mainly concerned chasing women he had no business chasing.

Also he didn't have the balls to actually straight up ask them out (or at least telling them off) as opposed to adhering to some invisible and useless code of ethics and manners. That is relative to the "title dictates behaviour" discussion; which I don't know why Rob would subscribe to considering that whatever title he thinks requires such proper manners, I could not cognitively define.

Another example of him coming all the way back to GP to see a girl in which, from my POV, shrugged him off for a friend. Once again I find it kinda funny how I managed to get the full preview of his anger (not to me, but regarding her) as opposed to him getting pissed off at the person who he should be pissed off at. This reminds me of when Dante should be actually pissed but is appologetic/courteous to the person causing him this misery and of the hockey incident in Clerks where Dante get's pissed off at only 12 minutes of hockey on the roof. But it is was it is and moreso he should have appreciated it. I mean he's out of GP at least amongst potential friends.

But I suppose it isn't as bad as it turned out when you see the long term effects. Had he hooked up with his choice of women, I would imagine the incompatability of Rob with any singular union (God forbid a poly-union) would have resulted in much more bitching and complaining. I sure I could handle it, but I wouldn't have liked it at all.
